In Periodontology, much progress has been made in relation to the microbiological study of Oral Biofilm, aiming to improve individualised treatment and therapy resources. With science as one of its main pillars, DENTAID is continuously conducting rigorous research in its R&D&I Department, DENTAID Research Center.
One example is the Artificial Mouth, an in vitro Oral Biofilm training model used to simulate the flow and shear forces to which Biofilm is subjected in the oral cavity. This model is an absolute revolution for assessing the antimicrobial efficacy of Oral Health products, and it is also a valuable tool for studying the behaviour of biofilm-forming bacteria.
